Sports: the Lighter Side of a Student’s Life
Making home works, passing projects, studying for exams, taking down notes, and listening to your teachers for the rest of your student life could be miserable or challenging. Over-using the mind can make you nuts. Sports had been played for a very long time even before the ancient Greeks conducted Olympics. Sports were made to measure manhood. Now, sports have made different contributions not only in building good physique, but also in teaching discipline, imbibing sportsmanship, and building character in a fun-filled and healthy competition.
In sports or a game, one should know that, there’s always been a choice, to win or to lose. Winning makes something in you that are hard to believe, but with the courage and determination, it means something to you. However, what if you try your hardest part and eventually end up losing? Would you try to test yourself for another one and be persistent enough to achieve the goal? The saying “You win some, you lose some,” is one adage that we should always remember to deal in every game positively. We can’t deny that sometimes we are jolted in our waking moments when challenges come our way, much more of if it is the tragedy. There is always a will upon playing a game, because this would serve as a key to winning. In every challenge, we think that success is impossible to happen, come to think that, if we are just motivated and well persistent enough, those difficulties will always be something that we highly achieve.
Most winners who are determined by winning always manage themselves and knowledgeably control their fears. They struggled fearfully just to grab for a win. That makes a real player achieve his ultimate goal. All Winners aim high for the best. From the start, they cannot control their thought and even their actions, and they do not let anybody manipulate and disturb them in times when they concentrated. They don’t even use their heads to think for the right action and end up making mistakes. Imagine in every game when you don’t want to give up. Even you face and encountered many strikes, you still manage to go on and strive for a run.
In a game where sometimes it throws us a curve ball, we feel like it is unfair. We must bear in mind that in every game, nobody wins all the time. Hence, it is important that we should learn how to bounce back every fall and face again the challenges with courage. After every loss, there’s always been a guilty feeling. Guilt changes nothing, it makes you feel accepting responsibilities. However, it can’t produce anything new. Persistence, on the other hand, is important, whatever, we do and believe wholeheartedly. We should have persistence and with determination. Persistence has its own prize to harvest. Also, one thing that we should learn from losing is, we must accept that we are only humans and each of us will do things that we will regret. Each player will take a wrong turn and make a bad choice. Keep in mind that you should always open and ready to make mistakes and embrace them as an opportunity to learn valuable lessons, because if you are open to your mistakes, you will be able to move on, rather than allowing in regrets and disappointments. And strive hard not to repeat the same mistake. Don’t ever quit when things go wrong, as they sometimes will. Every one of us learns to every failure. Don’t give up and you might succeed with another blow.
A sport is also a leeway for teens from school and work and mostly an activity during a vacant time. Sports drain out the bad energy during a 5-day-sitting in a classroom. As what doctors say, “ It is healthy to be involved in sports.
Now, Why involved in sports? Our academics are important, but how can one perform well in his tasks when he does not have a healthy body? Because it is a form of exercise, and you can gain self-determination and confidence through it, and also, one doesn’t have to go to the gym to spend money just to sweat out. Sports also beat stress because it allows you not only to have fun, but it drains out the bad energy that strain.
So, stop muddling much in aching the student’s life bound with school works. Take a break, sweat for some time, and enjoy the lighter side of your student life, sports.
